A good friend’s husband is a farrier, in layman’s parlance, a shoe-er of horses. His clientele ranges from trail horses to elite race horses and every equine in between. He brings the spent horseshoes home at the end of the day, throws them into a pile and later melts them down to make interesting sculptures. While sitting in a pile, collecting rust and leaves, the horseshoes presented an interesting picture. This is the result. The colors on the border are picked from the colors of the shoes but might as well be the colors of the horses he shoes as well. Shot with my iPhone.
